I just wanted to pop in and say that I don't like the new logo. The older one was more simplistic, more readable, and therefore more aesthetically pleasing. The new one is blocky and hard to discern (would first time viewers know that that was supposed to read "/ film?" I'm not sure). I'm not trying to be patronizing. I love the rest of the site. But the logo is the first thing I see on the page and it's kind of an eyesore to me.

That one of Bale looks really nice. I mean, the photoshop is evident, but at least someone working in poster design knows about composition and subtlety.

The problem I think is that Disney still thinks it has a legacy to uphold with their hand-drawn stuff (i.e. their "Nine Old Men") and thinks that the only way to restore confidence in viewers is to reach back in the vaults for inspiration. I think the way to restore people's confidence is to make a great movie. I don't know if they did that, because so far this looks like it's trying way too hard to be an instant classic, and instead it comes off as stale and overwrought, it reminds me of Anastasia (which was rotoscoped by the way)

I remember seeing ads for Mulan and the Lion King when I was a kid, and the tone and scope of those films were so incredible, I didn't care who made it. I wanted to see those damn movies.
