I’m thankful the officer survived and is getting better. I hope he is back on the job soon.

That said I hope these guys are positively identified soon and STOPPED. If you think that seems harsh or that I’m just pro law enforcement, remember: These guys purposely targeted someone obviously known (a uniformed officer in a CHP vehicle) to be armed, trained to shoot back and by vocation is a protector of the public. What do you think will happen if their next target is someone without any of the above qualities?

As various governments in California progressively remove our ability to protect ourselves they make our state a “target rich environment” for thugs who want easy prey.

On principle I am against ANY elected official “voting” themselves a pay raise.
If they are doing a good job the voters that put them in office can vote them a raise, the money comes out of our pickets, right? Continuing with that logic, on every election ballot there should be a standing item where voters can decrease the elected officials pay by “x” amount. That way even if they stay in office voters can at least reduce their pay when they are doing a lousy job of representing us.

Hope the daughter is OK, too bad she didn't shoot the intruders. A lot of people are wishy-washy on this subject but I figure if a trespassers are going to take the time to kick-in your door to enter your home they are likely to do worse to whoever they find inside.

Sounds like the threats are escalating but the police response is not keeping up. As this is happening in California I don't suppose you have many options to protect yourselves do you?

Senator Marco Rubio, why do we need to "create legal immigration" when we already have it? DHS statistics show that over 25 million immigrants obtained Legal Permanent Resident status between 1980-2009 and that over 9 million of that group became naturalized citizens.

1) I hope everyone survived with minimal injuries,
2) If the driver had been on a cellphone you would know who it was,
3) There should be some way to identify people who do stuff like this, so we can avoid them.

I always knew that Los Angeles was full of...biosolids! Keep those biosolids in L.A. where they were created don't flush it to Kern County where we don't want it. I'm sure this Tulare judge would feel differently if L.A. were treating his back yard as their very own outhouse.
