What a contrast, in Boulder our elected officials tie up traffic on purpose and nobody seems to care.

Martian research certainly sounds mildly interesting, but when the nation is on the verge of insolvency it's pretty hard to justify that spending. Afterall, the reason we have to raise the debt ceiling is because we have all these mildly interesting government programs that we can't pay for (unless we borrow even more money).

The most surprising thing about the shutdown is that it's making people recognize that their lives will go on just fine without Martian research or any of these others government programs that cost so much.

I don't understand why Tad keeps playing Booker. He clearly hurts the team with his crazy shot selection and sulking when he doesn't get the ball.

How about Todd Saliman? He's never had a real job in his life. Goes from Student Intern at Boulder County to being Ron Stewart's go-fer. Stewart liked the way he ran errands so he decided to put Todd in the legislature to do his bidding there. Then Todd parlays that into a $200,000 a year job with CU!

Bureaucrats getting rich on the backs of the public!

Ok, here we go again!

Maybe the Camera could ask Coach MacIntyre a direct question like "please name the schools who are recruiting him?"

This is starting to sound awfully familiar. Any word on Jay's middle school record?

Read Morzel's comments one more time and you'll start to understand the City's plan to hassle drivers:

1. Eliminate lanes
2. Install traffic obstructions (flashing crosswalks, four-way stops, etc.)
3. Reduce Parking and give as many tickets as possible.
4. Lower speed limits and give as many tickets as possible
5. Create "school zones" where there are no schools
6. Make sure the stop lights are not timed and drivers have to stop at every light
7. Close off streets so drivers don't have alternate routes (eg Goss-Grove, Mariposa and Bluebell, etc)
8. Prohibit right turns on red
9. Install red arrows on left turns
10. Install trafiic lights where they are not needed
11. Spend all transportation funds on "bike lanes"

Simply put, the City believes that if they make it as difficult as possible to drive they can force people to stop driving.

You can have all the affordable housing you want but the result of this misguided program will be that all housing in Boulder will be less affordable!

No doubt! Just reread the last paragraph of the story to see what a self-centered nut this guy is.

The shocking thing to me is that we let these mean-spirited people have such control over our kids as their coaches.

What exactly is this guy's beef anyway? That he wanted to screw a kid with the transfer rule and Kloster, the district, and CHSAA refused to go along with his vindictive plan?
