Question for you Dob, how long ago did you lose your job?
If you have a degree you can absolutely find a job. If you got a music or physical fitness degree then you are an idiot, but can still probably find a job. You might have to move to another city. You might have to accept working in a restaraunt. You might have to work for a telemarketing company. You might have to sell cars. There are plenty of jobs out there if you will spend 8 hours a day looking for one and don't be too picky about what you do. No I am not talking about mailing a resume and form letter to a few dozen employers. As an employer I can tell you that will NOT get you a job. Go meet people face to face. Network.
You can always go buy a lawnmower and start yourself a one man landscape business. There is ALWAYS a way to make money.
OK, let's try to understand where she was trying to go with these comments. Her "logic" is saying that by giving unemployed people money, that they will spend it, because lord knows they aren't going to save it... So by them spending the money that in turn creates jobs because it is adding cash into the "economy". Now the problem here is that it only adds jobs in China. Those people are spending their "hard earned" money on CRAP from Walmart. Made in China CRAP. They aren't going to buy American services. They aren't going to buy more expensive American products. Walmart is not going to hire more employees if they get a little busier because of some unemployment checks. The money is going to go back to China to create jobs.
We might as well live in Venezuela...

“Every generation needs a new revolution.”- Thomas Jefferson.
The nation now is nearly as divided as it was at the start of the Civil War. The current administration has successfully eliminated the idea of our country standing as one. It is time to salvage what our forefathers established. It is time to bring back the work ethic in America. It is time to encourage growth and development. It is time to stop encouraging idleness. It is time for government to step back and do only what is necessary to protect freedom and liberty. It is time to make sure our politicians do not bankrupt our country. It is time for the American people to take responsibility for their own mistakes and rejoice in their own achievements. If action is not taken soon, America will most certainly dig itself into a socialist pit that may be too deep from which to rise.
That American Dream is slowly being stripped away by our political leaders today. It truly seems as if our government wants to make sure no person becomes great, but only that everyone becomes average. Unfortunately the practices of our leadership only further divide the nation into an extremely wealthy class and an oppressed class with no hope of changing their fate. Overly wealthy people will simply stop investing in new ventures because the reward will no longer justify the risk. Therefore they will retain their wealth and it will not properly be “spread around” through natural capitalistic progression. Government’s attempt to spread the wealth by tyrannical means only affects those willing to risk. The only ones willing to risk in that environment are those who do not have much to lose. It makes losing catastrophic for those risk takers. In years past, a typical entrepreneur often failed many businesses before making his fortune. Those days are over. The rewards simply do not justify the means.

“That government is best which governs the least, because its people discipline themselves.”- Thomas Jefferson.
Free market capitalism is the economic foundation that has made America the great nation it is today. Capitalism is only possible by the limitation of both government regulation and excessive taxation. America has always been known as the “land of opportunity” because of these principals. No person is held back in this country by anything other than their own effort, dedication, willingness to take risks, and creative ability. Students attend college most often because of the perceived idea that it will help them succeed in life. Business owners take risks for the perceived idea that it could produce new opportunity to create wealth. America is one of the few societies in history where a person can come from nothing and achieve greatness.
(Part 7)
By definition a leader needs followers and vice versa. By trying to hold back great innovators and leaders, the followers have no where to rely except for a controlling government. Overtaxing and regulating businesses and employers creates burdens that hinder expansion and development of new ideas and technologies. That development is necessary for the growth and prosperity of a nation to include new job opportunities for the unemployed.
(Part 6)
America once was that destination for oppressed people abroad. That is “changing” at a rapid pace. Businesses are more increasingly moving overseas, fleeing the financial and legislative oppression of the United States.
“There is a natural aristocracy among men. The grounds of this are virtue and talents.”- Thomas Jefferson.
Most who subscribe to the beliefs of Socialism feel that all men are created equal, and should live equal lives. While this is a wonderfully utopian idea, it is simply irrational and unrealistic. While all men should certainly be given equal treatment, equal opportunity, and equal freedom, not all men take full advantage of the opportunities that arise in life. All people are not equal when it comes to creativity, intelligence, ambition, talent, and capabilities. You cannot have a nation of all leaders, nor can you have a nation of all followers.
