I've filed several qick start claimsfor vets using a 21-526EZ and so far the VA has been amazingly fast adjudicating them and for the most part completely accurately. A couple of the vets didnt like the percentage they received but after i explained to them that is all the condition allow by law they were satisfied. This isn't your grandfathers or fathers VA for sure. Despite the rabid rhetoric expressed by the few the VA is turning itself into a Vet friendly institution.
This article isn't about the VA broncovet.... calm down, take a knee, and drink some water. Just so you know Adjustment Disorder is a ratable condition, it is the schedular that is used for PTSD as well. So a vet might get denied ptsd they will get a rating for adjustment disorder instead that pays the exact same amount ad qualifies the vet for the exact same medical services.
WOW! You've discovered the cause of ALS?? Please let the scientific and medical communities in on your ground breaking research. What little is known about the cause of ALS nothing as of yet connects it to chemical exposure.
This article has little to nothing to do with the VA as well. I highly dought they can use this as as out since there is no test that can diagnose someone with ALS only a doctors opinion can do that. So if your doctor says you have ALS you do. Just be sure you have a diagnosis before you file a claim. No nexus letter required due to its presumptive status.
Don't ya just love the A.C.L.U.
I'm all for the VA taking over as long as new staff is hired to compensate for the increased work load. Look what happened when the VA took away the pension programs from the regional offices and dumped everything on the Milwaukee Regional office without hiring in advance to compensate for the work load. It takes a ridiculous amount of time to receive pension bnefits when compared to the prevos time frame. It's also about impossible to contact some one there if you have to track a claim or ask questions. The Milwaukee RO has been affectionately dubbed the "Black Hole"
What corruption occured at the Erie VA? Did you read the VOIG's report? I did and I find the headline to this article misleading based on the information presented. I am a patient at the Erie VA and it is a top notch facility that truly is vet friendly. The people received training the VOIG just thought that they should do a better job on how they report it. The sterization problem was that they found some dirt and dust in a storage facility. No vets were infected by unsterilzed equipment.
While the VA might be at fault here don't let the private sector get away with out scolding. They over-bill and re-bill every chance they get and any government program is an easy target.
Its already been paid for by the tax payers. The same place they always get it from the VHA's budget. Could you please everyone some sources and citation where you draw your information from? Also I am curious If you were not receiving X amount of dollars how does not receiving X amount of dollars effect your financial situation after you file a piece of paper in the mail? How does the VA make people homeless there have been programs for years that are to help veterans with housing needs (HUDVASH) All you have to do is ask. Why are you so bitter Bronco? Was your claim denied? I am a county veterans service officer in the state of Ohio. I have all kinds of certifications and attend schools and training at least 4 times a year. Let me know if I can help. Or is there no chance of help because you might not understand the system ad filed a frivolous claim? Consider studying the CFR 38 and the M21-1MR.
You mean the same guidelines that allowed over a billion dollars in fraud? Yeah great idea.
I have an idea for the people who go out of their way to bash the VA whenever they get a chance. Come up with some solutions. The tear it down idea that pops up on here so often is horrible by the way.
