Anything tea-related would make a wonderful gift in my book. I like doing my own little kits of loose leaf tea + fancy English teacups & saucers.

I also saw an interesting DIY tea canister tutorial: put some loose leaf tea in a mason jar, paint the top of mason jar lids with chalk paint, and then write the name of the tea in chalk.

I used to like Restaurant Week, but I've discovered that many times the RW-specific menus do not include the restaurant specialties. That's why I didn't participate in RW this year. It's also a pain to get a reservation at the popular places.

I think this is the only area where I was a little miffed. This friend was a part of my bridal party, and my expectations for my bridal party were literally "show up in a pinkish dress, stand with me on my wedding day, and be happy for me." Like many of the previous comments, my views on bridesmaids are that you are my bridesmaid because you are an important part of my life, not because you can help me do XYZ / spend this much money.

I do understand that people have different expectations for their bridal parties.
