So has anyone figured out a way to upgrade their baseband without upgrading the firmware?

(I have no prob upgrading fw but I need to get my cycorder videos backed up before I do...and Im gonna be in a no wi-fi zone for the next 48hrs at least =( )

Thanks a ton for this software! Ive totally got hooked to my jailbroken 3g...and cant go back to using this crappy nokia phone ( http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Nokia_2310) during my hols here in India...(parents live here...)...
