Something like this might get me into iOS and a cell plan. Up to now I have had neither an iOS device, nor any cell plan (voice OR data... always prepaid voice). Service like this should cost us $10/month by now. [I am a former 'Bell' employee and even dined with AT&T CEO one night.] While employed, we got all our phone/cell bills 'free' as a benny. But as a regular joe, with 5 mouths to feed, never been able to afford that or cable/dish TV stuff.

I don't pay anything to AT&T; never had an iOS device. But I guess I need to go to 9to5iPhone for Mac stories. :)

As is so often the case my body is headed the other direction.
My retina acuity is going down --> Apple's going up!
I'll soon be able to classify Casio Melody watches as being Retina display ... if one basis it on MY retinas! LOL

Well, as you know, Sam's Clubs already offer, and have for some time, Apple iStuff.
And if anyone can recall, they got a batch load of original iMacs once, too.

I like Sam's Club for what it is. But for me I don't see an Apple Store experience being compatible with it. I wish them luck, though, if they do it. Perhaps this might be a precursor for Apple TVs? I could see that working a bit better perhaps. I am sure Apple stakeholders are glad no one pays me for my advice along these lines.

some quick googling shows me that THE FIVES is widely bashed by the employees (forced to) employ it. I'm not sure what the absolute best approach to customer service is. It seems an ongoing battle to sell vs to give the customer what they want. Ask questions? Jobs himself said (paraphrasing) We don't do surveys.

Though it's been written that Apple trained at least some execs in the RITZ (Carlton) service models, it's a different market from those in the upper echelons and usual iTunes, iApps, iDevice and good old MacOS computer buyers. There's a broad mix of customers.

I wish him and Apple well, as always.
