Good question David, here is the answer from the rules:
Grand Prize Winner will not be compensated for the creation of the Short Film version of his/her Movie Pitch or for any other works, derivative, or related products that may be created based on the Movie Pitch.

Good question Mayowa, we reached out and here is what we learned:

The contact email for the contest manager is actually in the "Terms and Conditions" section of the site (AYCcontest@ignitesocialmedia.com) .

"Windows Movie Maker is our preferred method of entry, but is not required as we did not want to exclude anyone that may not have the program available to them. Also, all kinds of artistic creations and designs are accepted in the contest, so I'd love to see some some graphic designs on the "entries" page (perhaps that will encourage others to think out of the box as well :) ). "
