Being that I'm in the "need an unlock now" camp, my hope would be that they have different unlocks and that one could be used now while saving the other for a future FW release. I suppose I know where DevTeam stands on this issue, but judging by Geohot's much different approach to unlocking/jailbreaking I'm not sure what he'll end up doing. I'm eager to see what happens, if anything, either way...

In the post there's a pasted IRC dialogue between MuscleNerd and Geohot where the latter acknowledges having discovered an exploit, or "hash" has he says, and the two discuss trying to determine whether or not they actually have the same hack in hand. Haven't heard or read much beyond this particular blog post. Would be curious to know if anything else has been said.

But fair enough - appreciate the reply.

Can anyone confirm this ihackintosh blog post or provide more info?

I can see that you're here extremely often and that you do indeed read every single post. I know this because you seem to copy and paste a post along the lines of "there's no unlock coming out anytime soon. you're going to have to wait several months." Why do you need to keep repeating this post when someone could simply look at any other thread and find it there?

With regard to what I posted, if you'll go back and actually read it, it wasn't a list of 5 or 6 claimed unlocks. It was a question, posed to you guys (the better-informed community of iPhone hackers that peruse forums like this daily and frequently), asking if you knew who this individual was who was claiming that he had an unlock. The "list" you're referring to were tweets that he made with regard to his unlock. I didn't intend for my post to amount to 59 replies. I won't be held accountable for the fact that many people want to jump to conclusions and misinterpret my post to mean that I myself am advertising a guaranteed unlock. This was not the case.

I consider myself one of the patient few who made a mistake, so I won't take responsibility for or accept being grouped with the vast majority who seem to be demanding an unlock (most often in broken english, an in a babbling fashion).

Your post read as follows: "Where is Vagus09 ?? He was the one flaunting all these "claimed" jailbreak & unlock tools"

Was it supposed to be a call-out? What kind of response were you looking for? I just don't get it. I didn't find the reply helpful, only sarcastic and irritating.

I'm sorry, but would you be so kind as to point to a post where I was "flaunting" claimed tools? You won't find one. And your sarcasm is irritating.

I'm curious as to why my initial comment was deleted by the administrator?

His whole thing seems to be via twitter...so pretty much devoid of ads, etc. I feel like he would be more hated than loved if hes lying, and the only fame wouldn't really be favorable...

The only reason I'm curious about it is because he's indicated that he doesn't want any money or donations. Not sure what other motive he would have.

Hey man, appreciate the post. We both just got too caught up in the matter. No hard feelings.
