They are in a great foster home so no hurry.
The house sounds wonderful though (as long as they are allowed inside the home as well)... Please allow me to speak to that nice gentleman, if he wishes to open his home to Buster and Patches as well as improving the living conditions of his existing dogs I\'m sure he will be delighted to hear why we request our adoptants to feed raw.
We had this situations in the past and people did not hesitate to switch.
Please if you are interested in helping put him in touch with me, I promise you I will be very nice.. :-)

Stephanie... the thing is, we all live by our standards.
We are only requesting to follow a natural standard, that is all.
By the way, someone left a note above explaining that RAW is actually much cheaper than commercial. I can confirm that, is just a question of sourcing.
I will not give a dog to someone just so that in five or six years my dog is sick because of commercial food.

Of course no Michelle...
But the thing is that none of our animals are in any risk of being euthanized. None of our rescues are in shelters, kill shelters or otherwise. They are all in foster homes. Which is why we can be as picky as we want.

We only have three conditions. We are not asking our adoptants to drive Pink Cadillacs for god sake.

Well... adopting one of our dogs is not charity and certainly not a right. It is a privilege.
If you are not willing to feed them the only biologically appropriate diet then I guess you don't pass our adoption standards.
It really is THAT simple.

Those dogs were not few raw before... even a more important reason to start ASAP.

Stephanie, about every dog of 5+ years old that we rescue comes with massive dental problems. Before placing them in homes we usually need to treat their mouths completely rotten and plagued with periodontal disease.

This problem is much bigger if the animal is a senior.. 12+ . In those cases many of them have been dumped precisely because they have putrid mouths.

These are the rules of this group. How I wish people looked at the reasons why we do things instead of entrenching in their fearful little worlds.

Well.. what you don\'t understand is that I am not not asking you to change the diet of your animals (although you probably should).
What I\'m asking is that if you want to adopt our animals you simply have to meet 3 conditions. Only 3.
If that is too much for you then please by all means, go to the nearest kill-shelter and rescue an animal from there.

Shawnee, note that Let\'s Adopt! does not apply a rehoming fee. Furthermore as most of our dogs are international rescues we don\'t expect for the adoptant to pay for the dog\'s transport.

I think, after all we do, we are in position to be as demanding as we want. We are not. We just want our animals to be fed as nature intended.

Nedless to say none of those people would get a dog from me. Even if the dog was given Shiatsu massage daily...
