Brown is absolutely right about the two main comments.
1) It was right to get rid of the savage dictator of Iraq
2) USA botched the recovery/rebuild
Evidence to support the first claim is so expansive and available that I will not even attempt to persuade the deniers who choose to self deceive.
The second issue: W was reacting to the huge negative influences regarding Rumsfeld and yielded to those pressures by giving authority to State department and one Colin Powell. Powell determined that if he could disarm the people of Iraq, the rebuilding process would face less opposition. He was successful in disarming the chieftains who were loyal to US or ones he could intimidate. The left has always recommended this approach. The Founding Fathers said...when guns are outlawed, only the outlaws will have guns. This is exactly what happened in Iraq. Soon our chieftain friends were unable to defend themselves and were slaughtered by those who understood dominance by intimidation and murder. What great friends we were! Colin Powell is to blame for the mess USA made of Iraq after first declaring victory.
