I wish we weren't such bad people. I mean, how can we live like THIS with cool stuff like aircraft carriers while Obama's half-brother lives in a thatch hut? Maybe we should give him one of our carriers (I think I have a spare one down at the base).
Besides, carriers are only good when people are threatening you, like Russia, Iran, N. Korea and China (sometimes). Oh, but that would be... now.
We give more than any nation in the world and still, they hate...
Speaking of outrage... don't you get tired of having the media tell us what to be outraged over? Obama fires the head of a private company, Rick Wagoner at GM and shhhh! (he gets 20 million on the way out the door, DON'T TELL ANYONE). His company is failing, is it not? At least AIG spread the 165 mil around. But because the media doesn't make a big deal out of it, the people say nothing as well.
Off subject: What exactly do the president and congress have to do to our country before they are violating their oath to uphold the constitution?
Farming? Certainly too important too fail! The government MUST take them over given the current crisis. BTW, thank you to all the farmers who struggle every day to put food on their family's tables... and mine.
Does anybody still wonder why Timmy Geithner was asking for authority to take over non-financial businesses? Say hello to nationalized auto industry. Who's next... the airlines?
Term Limits! The job was supposed to be of service to the People, and not to become a career. Pelosi, Reed, Frank, Dodd. Need I say more?
What I want to know is why do our friends like Rush and Sean not mention The 912 Project? Rush said today, "no one is doing anything" in reference to people's outrage. Sean wanted to talk to the group responsible for organizing the Tea Parties, yet no word on 912 from him either (I seem to remember Glenn sparking this action, but I could be a homer). Glenn talks about them all the time. Do they think he's crazy?
This hits home for me as I was born in Bermuda during the Cuban Missile Crisis. My father was flying P3's and found a Soviet sub off the coast of Bermuda. I imagine back then some said "this is no big deal". I wonder what they would say now. I know this is a distraction from our own domestic woes, but we cannot ignore it. Ever feel like we all need to stand in a circle to watch every possible threat? Economy, Russia in Cuba and Venezuela, Mexico about to explode and a nuclear Iran....
While our president goes on Leno, does anyone seem to think that our enemies smell blood? Do they see our administration as weak, disorganized and blundering? As Obama offers a better dialogue with Iran and the likes, they react by puffing up their chests. What better time to rally against us? Are we paying attention to the other hand?
