Sad to say, I agree with you. An occasional roadblock is an annoyance. When done too often, it becomes something different entirely.

However much we (being firmly in the pro-Israel camp) try to say that all is fine in Gaza, it obviously is not all fine. It's not as bad as made out in the worlds press, but it sure 'aint perfect.

I don't buy the fact that 'Anti-Zionists' are not deep down, anti-Semitic. If they feel so strongly about every other country in the world that has issues, injustice, than I'd agree, but none do. Are your 'Anti-Zionist' friends also anti Communist China? anti hanging in Iran? anti-whoever in Darfur that killed hundreds of thousands with machetes? anti-Zimbabwe?

When they are equally against everything, then I'd accept the fact that maybe they are not prejudiced.

It's the British mentality to try and be politically correct. If they think that there is a hint of anything, they will go overboard to be as PC as possible.

I'm talking from experience!

Even the game of 'conkers' (a very British game putting horse chestnuts on a string, and bashing your 'conker' against your friends) was banned in schools for being too dangerous.

On the other hand, the Britain has been a safe haven for the Jews for over 350 years, and did some wonderful things like the kindertransport. Not everyone in the UK is anti Jewish.
