More Orwellian speak from the government, displaying their ignorance of the reason for the Tea Parties. Spending that is out of control, government that is out of control, cap and trade insanity, new taxes on small business (taxes on over $250K) and a government that is more interested in its own power than defending the constitution they are sworn to uphold! One example - show me the constitutional authority for cap and trade! A docile public that cannot bother itself with being situationally aware is in for a rude awakening!!!
Nothing is going to drive our economy. Anyone capable of making any real money so that they can hire people is going to be taxed to death. The rest of us are going to be paying thru the nose for basic necessecities that are going to cost each family four or five thousand dollars a year more after the cap and trade goes thru. We are going to have a major depression, probably with massive inflation. They want you on your knees so you will accept anything they do as long as it throws you a bone to survive. I think it was Ben Franklin who said "Anyone who would give up a little freedom for a little security deserves neither freedom nor security". We have a tyrant at the door and we need to fight back by swamping our congressmen on a daily basis with calls. If Obama's plan goes thru (cap and trade and taxes) America is over.
No one would expect you to get it either.
So we dont lose momentum, we must write our congressmen constantly and keep the pressure on. Most get a daily update from staff that gives them a "count" of comments on the various issues. Inform and involve others and keep the pressure on our so-called representatives!
The government has no place to comment about cheapening history as every single act taken by our government cheapens this nations history!
The Tea Parties were a great start, but the momentum must build. Its not Democrats and Republicans, its a free people wishing to remain free. This government, for the last 20 years, has divided us over issues of religion, which political party we are part of, the haves and have nots, etc. etc. While we are distracted and split by these various issues, our government has moved in a taken advantage. We now have a debt greater than ever. We now have government more intrusive than ever and a government that willingly pits itself against groups of people it feels are undesirable. (just one example is the so called Fairness Doctrine) Its time we are no longer distracted by our differences and unite to take a stand for freedom and liberty for ALL Americans. We are Americans, not parts of political parties and we need to unite or we will ALL lose our freedom. No one can afford to stand by and watch while one group is attacked. Tyranny is at the door. We will either respond or be enslaved. Get your friends and neighbors involved and help them understand there is so much more at stake here than the differences the government uses to keep us distracted.
I like the idea of Palin doing it for her state - if only we could get all 50 states to stand up and confront this power seeking Federal government. Then we would be making some progress.
Your still hung up on that stuff? If you want to see what the governments done, look into the banking, mortgage, housing issue. Starting with Clinton, thru Bush, its all government meddling with the private sector. now they use the train wreck they caused to take away more liberty and pass more taxes.
Your living in the past man, give it up. It serves no purpose. If you disliked Bush then you should absolutely hate BO because he is nothing more than Bush Term Three! Except for the fact that he is doing it to a magnitude that was previously unimaginable!. Spending off the charts, 21,000 more troops to the war. Please get real. He is Bush to the 10th power and we need him about as much as we needed Bush for another term.
