I'll take your bet Fairlame; I've been a Republican since Reagan ran against Carter. I was conservative maybe earlier, but that's when I actually considered myself and proclaimed it so. Sweet, sweet victory in High school when Reagan crushed Mondale. I was gloating over that one for weeks...

How long has insurance even been around? Did the Founding Fathers have insurance? How about those living in the Antebellum South? War of 1812 survivors?

Insurance is a product. We have no "right" to it. I guess next once the Obama Healthscare plan is passed, we'll all get a "right" to own a new car... hey, that doesn't sound bad. I'm a big guy, so maybe I can use that as a disability and get a big car... yeah, I'd even put an obama bumper sticker on it, if it was free.

What other free stuff can the government give me- you know, because i have a "right" to it?

I think their dresses and miniskirts are on too tight, reducing circulation, and their augmented breasts are drawing blood away from their brains as well. It\'s ho-poxia- oxygen deprivation caused by slutty, too-tight clothes.

White people will never be the minority, because when the numbers are right to decalre them that, some law will be passed prohibiting the use of \"minority\" language. It\'ll be interesting to see how Affirmative action works then, when say a black person accuses a white person of discrimination in hiring. How can a minority discriminate? That\'s the declaration being made now and for many years- that blacks can\'t be accused of reverse discrimination; that is, discrimination is being defined as a majority picking on a minority. When white people aren\'t the majority anymore it will shatter this whole system.

I look forward to this- a time when all Americans are treated like people, instead of colors.

someone has to ask for forgiveness. Sinners don\'t get a free ride to Heaven because of Christ\'s sacrifice. They have to be sorry and ask to be forgiven.

Shouldn\'t be any different with folks you know. Don\'t go all Ghandi and forgive people who steal from you or beat you up. Forgive them if, IF, they realize their error and ask to be forgiven.

The problem is that the founding fathers created a country that allowed people to choose to be Christians, but still live here even if they didn\'t. They didn\'t force anyone to go Christian.

A better way would have been to make a country where if you didn\'t want to be Christian, you had to go. Your freedom is to leave. It\'s like your home when you grow up. Do your parents let you do whatever you want, or do they tell you \"my house, my rules\"?

Ah, who\'re we kidding. As long as people are involved any government system is going to get screwed up.
