That is very interesting. So do you make the same predictions for Virgin Care, Care UK, Serco, Spire etc? In which case why are they doing it do you think?

I hope so! Virgin Care, among others, have won many NHS management contracts including in child care in Wiltshire and Devon and community care in Surrey. I suppose making money will depend on the business model. The Virgin Care website says it is saving NHS and public money, so that is good.

I have read that if aspects of TTIP go through, it could become difficult to re-nationalise services if that were to seem like a good idea, because of new laws. I don't understand it well at all.

Anyway. That is off topic.

The manifesto point is interesting.

The previous Cameron manifesto pledged 'no top down reforms to the NHS' which Andrew Lansley clearly did not fulfill.

Given that record of not fulfilling manifesto pledges on the NHS, I find it strange that Jeremy Hunt is so adamant of his duty.

It does appear that the NHS is being moved towards an insurance based system with private providers. If so, then I hope there will be provisions to avoid the pitfalls of markets in healthcare that the USA and China have suffered.

'please ensure that you have learned your lesson and will be straightforward and honest from now. It is the best policy now and always.'

Do people think this is a little soft?

If indeed Jeremy Hunt has misled parliament and the public, should he not be held to account? He has been allowed to get away with untruths at best and dangerous clinical advice at worst (google your childs' rash to see if it is serious before attending hospital). He got away with 'messily filled in expenses forms' (his own admission on his website), unprofessional communication in the BSkyB deal, now 53,000 doctors claim he is deceitful- all extremely concerning.

Other professions are held to account for their actions. I think it is about time MPs had a strict code of conduct introduced and were held to it.

I have 2 of points of interest.

You imply Jeremy Hunt advocates patient choice. This article quoting the man seems to directly contradicts you.

And this report states that Jeremy Hunt directly called chief executives about waiting times as you are claiming early Blair labour did.
