Every time there's an expansion of concealed-carry rights there are people screaming that there will be blood in the streets. Every time...without exception...they are proven wrong. Same thing will happen here.

It's getting more and more disturbing that the main stream media is utterly ignoring this. Proof-positive that they are not only indifferent to the truth, but are actively trying to ignore this story. Given that these stories would be a boon to ratings, and hence would increase advertising rates/revenues, the shareholders of the various news outlets ought to file a class action lawsuit against the outlets for failing to maximize shareholder value.

Capitalism allows two people to enter into a voluntary consensual agreement. I provide expertise and effort, my employer provides a paycheck and benefits. If you don't like the terms of the agreement then you don't have to enter into it, or can terminate the agreement.

A "slave" is someone who doesn't have the ability to terminate the relationship; who isn't a party to a voluntary exchange; who isn't entitled to dispose of the product of his labor as he sees fit. Sounds more like the relationship between the individual and the State. I cannot enter into a transaction without the State unilaterally stepping in. The State, like Massa of old, decides how much of the fruits of my labor I get to keep. If you don't think Massa will use the whip on you just try to escape from this slavish relationship of coercion.

Unfortunately, I've been paying into these two ponzi schemes ever since I drew my first paycheck. So YES, I do want some of that money back. And for me, it would be getting MY money BACK.

The killing of Randall Weaver's wife and son is chump-change compared to what the current regime is willing to do. Obama and his cabal will probably be a little more suave about it, but the basic attitude is the same: the private citizen is utterly insignificant when compared to the state, and the state is willing and able to crust the individual like a bug, without hesitation or remorse. If you get in the way of the machine they will chew you up and spit you out.
