I have a family member in the restoration business, so if you want to send business his way there are a few simple things you can do: 1. always leave your toaster under the cabinet when you use it, leave it in the same spot for 20 years and let that cabinet above it get nice and dried out, then put in a pop-tart and let it burn up. 2. Never clean out the lint trap or vents in your dryer. 3. Run your dishwasher when you're out of the house. Oh, and of course, buy used appliances, especially small ones from the flea market :-)

UL only sets standards and performs testing - if someone wants to cheat or create counterfeits then they will. There are even issues now with individuals creating counterfeit UL marks - as scary as it is. And these products are available in the US, they do catch some in customs but not all. Whatever you do - don't buy appliances at a Dollar Store or an off brand you haven't heard of - it probably contains counterfeit parts or marks.

Agree donnamayj - I love books, I love fountains and I love parks, but not as much as I'd love the firefighter or police officer who would show up if a loved one needed them!

Terri Horman is not pursuing visitation with her daughter and is stalling divorce proceedings - see this KOMO news article from last year: http://www.komonews.com/news/local/106698623.html - last I heard they were upholding this ruling this year as well. Poor Kaine is stuck married to this woman. I'm sure Julia's lawyers will use the same tactics and not pursue custody in order to keep her from incriminating herself. I think this case will end up being very similar to the Kyron Horman case - unresolved after 3 years.

You have to wonder if she removed photos of her son before she hatched this crazy scheme or if she never posted any on facebook. Very odd.

Poor children - I hope that she just thought she could hide him from the father but this whole thing has snowballed out of her control, and that the police are hoping to keep the pressure on her until she caves, confesses and leads them to Sky. I hope that someone else is caring for him right now and that she didn't harm him.
