Another way of looking at it is the powers-that-be saw something BIG is about to hit and decided to boost the Dollar and shove down precious metals. I have seen them do this regularly for the decade I have been watching. These people and organizations are guilty of insider trading on a grand scale. They used the market experts to use the automatic sell orders to peg the prices lower. When they run out of those sell orders, they will stall on doing transactions. If day traders jump into the market, there will be a frenzy of "buy high, sell low, buy high, sell low" to bust them. The whole thing reminds me of the Mafia casinos in Curacao.
The administration is afraid their voters are abandoning the Democrats for the Republicans or Tea Partiers. They have to win them back with lies and libel. Keep praying for these folks!
