I don't think you're going to the right stores. All the grocery stores in my area (jackson park) have been kept well stocked and even carry some of the local stuff.

It would be fine for my fiance and I. We put out less than half the smallest can of garbage every week. Everything else is in the recycling or yard waste containers.

Have you ever hung out with people in the IT industry? If they started drug testing at MS, AMZ, Intel, etc they would lose 75% or more of the work force and most of them make 6 figures.
