Right... no alcohol... I'm sorry but how do you crash into a fire hydrant, then a tree, going under 33 MPH, get seriously injured despite the fact that you were driving slowly backing out of your driveway and were driving a freaking tank of a car... Alcohol had to be at play here.

I'm sorry but the onus is on the Islamic community to address this problem. They can't just say: "whoopsie, the fact that he was shouting praise Allah and gunning down 'infidels' obviously has nothing to do with Islam"... I'm sorry but that's just not going to cut it. There is a discernible pathology that is present in violent muslims such as Major Hasan, and it is the necessary task of these "good-faith and law abiding many" to not sit back and ignore a problem festering in their own community.

I'm sorry but you can't just ignore the connection to Islam here. The man was obviously sick, but the same can be said about any terrorist. This sort of problem will never be solved if the Islamic community doesn't face reality and see that there is a serious numo-pathology bubbling underneath the surface of some of it's members.
