I wanted to wait a day out of respect to reply or respond to posts. So, a day later it is with respect to Andrew Breitbart's memory that I post this agreement with your very perceptive take.

You are exactly right, and it floors me that even some of the more astute conservative voices do not expand on this. When the media misreports something, i.e. the NYT or MSN or whoever, they are writing archival history. Twenty years hence, when your child is doing a report on, say, OWS or the reason muslims received special victim status in the year 2016, popular history will reinforce the will of the left.

The media isn't reporting the news, they are writing history.

Tried to offer something original, for someone original, earlier.

Second try, and if I have to keep trying so be it. Thank you, Andrew, for living a significant life, and in the living of it, giving so much more than we could ever repay you for.

Andrew, you did more for us than we could ever thank you for. Thanks for showing us what could be done and how to do it.
God look after your family. God look after the folks at Breitbart.com and instill them with renewed dedication.

If you slept well at night, you deserve to sleep very well now, Andrew, for all the good you've done. Thanks.

How can one man do this? No one is willing to stop him, yet. I believe that the president is begging for a showdown with another branch of government. It's the damndest thing I've seen yet. Many dems will fight him on this if they have to. Count on it.

Mr. Bell,
The support you will receive is as broad as it is deep. Yes, the media are cowards. They do fear more than opinion or ratings. Remember the scene in "Broadway Danny Rose" where Woody Allen is 'standing up for Mr. Danny Kay?' The left is only too happy to appear to be taking a courageous stand against Christian (and any other non-islamic)
tyranny. Show your work. Promote it to your new, ballsy audience. We will come.

Thanks for a thoughtful reply. I'm surprised this discussion is still going on!

My reference to 26 years ago is the end of Reagan, and I'm sorry to be less clear than I meant to be.

I'm fine w/ Portugal, and I tried to frame my comment humorously. No go, I guess. Within the context of being a true world power, we will always have to deal w/ things on a more massive scale than other countries. We have more diversity than anyone and it challenges us in ways that more homogeneous countries don't have to deal with.

I did a lot of posting on this topic and I'm checking out. Thanks again.

"While I do not personally approve of the use of drugs, I agree."
or
"While I do not personally approve of abortion, I agree.

While I do not personally approve of slavery, I agree.

While I do not personally approve of the sex trade, I agree.
or
While I do not personally approve of child porn, I agree.

Libertarian is now Libertine. Here's where the rubber hits the road. If only, if only, the world that these people want could be theirs, alone. But it isn't going to be, not for them, not for me, not for my kids. We're stuck here with you and the libs and the marxists and the who-the-hell-knows? And that is why we "stick our noses into other people's business." Not because we want to but because we have to. Because OUR world includes everybody. It includes the idiots who forgot to read the libertarian manuals that say "hands off!" The bullies, cretins and monsters don't read your manuals. They're more the "hands on" types.

Nice and simple, cogent and correct. When I saw you went from a +10 to a -38 I knew that the fogged out were starting to clue in. You can't make this stuff up. Watch what I say to Wildcat84....

If we still live in a country that is supposed to govern itself, that governs by representatives, I do see parallels. When (as in the Health Care debacle) we don't matter in the eyes of our elected officials and are forced to buy something, in both smaller and larger senses, something we don't want to purchase, I do see similarities that are at least as insidious. The question is, will noting that matter?

Hi Kp.
Drugs and alcohol, like the poor, have always been with us and always will be.

All things are substance. And if you posit God, all are God-made.

This person knows better than you that anyone is capable of anything, including smoking pot.

In a free society expect to be addressed if you are willing to share your thoughts in an open forum.

Have a transcendent New Year.
