JB was successful the 2nd time. however, when i downloaded SBSettings from Cydia i am now stuck in Safe Mode. numerous manual reboots and thousands of reboots from the Safe Mode pop up alert. Anyone seen this problem and know how to get out of Safe Mode loop ?

ok thanks. will give it a try. fingers crossed. If it does restore my stock icons would you try to jailbreak it again ? all my previous idevices have been jailbroke and never a problem like this. right now this phone isnt even an ipod cant do anything with it accept play a game that wasnt deleted.
I am trying to restore but says i have to update to 5.0.1 and restore. I am in a hotel and the public wifi is never the greatest. says 2 hours to download the 5.0.1 update. is there a way around the update ??? better get me a 12 pack and sit back
it removed my settings icon. it appears it removed most of the stock icons that cant be deleted (red X). camera,phone,messages,music,settings,app store, itunes,calculator,clock,calendar and cydia was removed as well
yes i tried that no luck..always heard the myth of bricking but no one that actually bricked an iphone..hope i am not the first.
I am afraid when i restore through itunes that it wont replace my stock icons..has anyone else seen this
I was on 5.0 i am now updating to 5.0.1 because i have to restore my phone
Just tried JB iphone 4S..when i clicked the cydia app it said its was initializing (something like that) and that cydia would exit when finished. When cydia finished and i clicked on Cydia icon the app would act as if trying to open but never made it to any screen in cydia the homescree would sort of flash/blink. I turned off the iphone and turned it back on. When it rebooted the Phone/Message/Settings and my other icons are missing including the Cydia icon. I cant use my phone because there is no icon for it. When i tried calling the phone from a landline it went straight to voicemail. Any Ideas ????? please
i tried again we good to go....thanks a million for ur help...no way i would have done this without it as iclarified doesnt list the build ipsw with pwnage tool to avoid errors..i cant thank you enough....Willys
