I don't think they're implying that the merest sip of this cheap beer is going to turn this child into Satan. I think the law is in place to ensure safety of the child. Because if a mom will pour beer (how much is unclear) into the cup then she is implying that it's ok for him to drink all of it and she is ok with that even though little bodies really can't tolerate alcohol. You get to alcohol poisoning really fast when you only weigh 30ish pounds. Also, if she will do this in public then what else is she doing that could cause harm or injury to him?

I never take my foot off the brake as soon as the light turns green. I pause and look carefully first. I have had too many close calls like this one. Not that this would have helped this lady. It sounds like her light had been green before she even reached the intersection.

Thanks for your post. I think you're right about how TV and movies alter our perspective of what these men really do every day. In reality, most officers are heavily trianed and use that training to help people of all walks of life.

Or give him a raise for bringing positive PR to their company... showing that their lifeguards really are capable of saving lives. Instead they stepped in their own *$&@.

Exactly. The condition of the home was too terrible to be pinned on one guy's single shift of horror. It seems this is an upper-management/company issue.
