Talk about adding insult to injury! I'm guessing the police gave the ticket as an indicator of who was at fault. I'm sure the driver of the vehicle can use this as his defense in case the bicyclist tries to sue him in court.

Finally, Portland Police solve a case (hopefully). Can't find Kyron, can't find LaShaunie, and this happened on a busy downtown street corner in broad daylight in front of a bunch of witnesses. If this one didn't get solved, I wouldn't be feeling too good about LE's homicide detectives' work.

Agreed. I just assume, given the available facts, they're illegals until they prove otherwise. I'm pretty sure that's what Border Agents have to assume, too.

I suspect that this ticket will be dropped if he has no prior history of similar violations. He'll probably say he didn't see the sign, will commit to completing some type of CDL refresher course, and the judge will suspend the ticket and let him off with a warning.
