Well, I would want a little more than a 26 foot boat if I am going to be crossing any oceans... From the pictures I have seen of Guppy, it doesn't look like a boat that was designed for blue water sailing.

Hopefully those who signed R-71 petitions won't get harassed, but this is the right decision.

Why is this a big deal? Clearly MS decided to run this ad in a country that doesn't have many black people in it, but they didn't want to re-shoot the ad campaign. Without the original photo to compare the altered one to, the hand coloration is hardly noticable; I thought it was just in a shadow. Give it a rest...

I agree. McGinn is a neighbor of mine, but I won't be voting for him. It is too bad since having the mayor as a neighbor can only be good for my property value:)

The tunnel wasn't the viaduct replacement that I favored, but stopping the project will not solve anything; not even the high price tag. We will get into a long debate followed by a planning process, and in the end, we have an even worse solution. On top of that, after the years go by, the "new solution" will cost at least as much as the tunnel that is on the table now.

Because he is 18. They didn't call him a child or a boy; they called him a teen. He is an adult, he will be charged as an adult, but he is nevertheless still a teenager.

My guess is that you probably wouldn't be held responsible in that situation. The rules are most likely geared toward controlling boat traffic in areas like the west side of San Juan Island. The whales pass that area almost every day, so a lot of boaters sit there to watch the whales and at times it can be crowded.

Orcas will still be accessable even with these rules in place. The area along the coast of San Juan Island sees a great deal of whale activity, and the whales are very close to shore which is where most people go to view them. Kayaks are also used by many people in that area to get closer to the pods. I'm not sure, however, if these new rules will add restrictions to kayaks or not, but it is a real experience to be at water level when an orca surfaces right beside you:)
