Caseworkers with Master's degrees who go into the homes of AIDS patients and work all year long.
Apparently, those with social science degrees had a higher SAT average than teachers (whose professors gave them higher GPA's).
Come on, teachers - be good sports. The world is not going to stop if you get less pay.
The unions are getting you worked up because it is the unions who are threatened with extinction.
The unions are good in a positive economic climate - but they can not or will not ADJUST when the economy is declining.
This is so obvious to most.

Also, how Communist/socialist is it to want to make MORE than the clerks, secretaries, janitor, beauticians (many have NO benefits), waitresses, and others who are the parents of the children they teach? Some of those parents also have college degrees.
I think teachers get caught up in a wage comparison hysteria. The problem is that they don't compare to those who make less. And they want guarantees that others in the private sector just don't have - never have had.
