This is a sleazy attempt to pass a law, that does not have sufficient support to get passed alone.

They switch subjects because THEY DON'T KNOW THE FACTS. They only know what they have been told or heard by the big media. They know slogans and sound bites. That's it. They don't even know what they themselves believe, because they haven't been forced to decide. They go with with makes them FEEL good.

When they start on their talking points, ask them questions. Don't tell them what you think or know to be right.
By asking questions you are making them justify what they think they believe. Tell them they don't have to give you an answer but you do want for them to be intellectually honest and seek out the truth on facts of the issue for themselves.

Leave them with one of these three questions:
1. Can you trust somebody to really be working for you, if they have established a pattern of serving their own purposes?

2. What would be the easiest ways for a conman to get inside your house?
If a guy dressed nicely in a business suit or dressed like a thug? If he demanded to be let in, or, he made you feel comfortable and good about him or his intentions, so you would let your guard down?

3. A man will fight against anybody who shows that he intends to make him a slave. But will a man fight that same slave-maker if he has bought into the idea that the loss of personal freedom and wealth is a good thing?

You can also tell them, it's okay to like the man and not agree with or like what he stands for.
People want to be right and know they are right. They will even foolishly defend something because the feel like if they let go or deny it, it lessens who they are. This can be specifically true for all those who have wrapped up so much false hope in the charisma of Obama.

Spending time blogging and discussing amongst ourselves is of little good unless we have an active plan.

This country CAN be saved. There will be damage, but we can overcome if we all act quickly.

We need to let the whole WORLD know that Obama's time is short. They need to know this NOW.
They need to know that we will be working forcefully to get him out of office in the next election.

The next President WILL BE a real leader will not support or continue the nonsense that is going on now.
The next President WILL BE a real leader that is proud and protective of this nation because that is what we will demand.

Write a letter to the British, Israeli, Canadian and European press outlets. Turkey especially needs to know, so that they will not feel pressured by Obama to join the EU. Turkey's entrance into the EU will cause this to have an Islamic majority. Not good for us.

Be articulate and polite. Tell them what is really going on here in the US and that the majority of American Citizens will be taking back this country in upcoming elections. The world will be able to count on America being America.

I personally would make an apology for having to deal with Obama and how he has dissed our allies and embraced those who wish to do all of us harm.

One quick thought.

Be sure to address you letters to the actual decision makers. No just whomever.
To be more effective, address a letter to each the CEO and the CFO and the chairman of the board.
You must send each to the appropriate address, this may not be the company's main office address.

In writing the letter be sure to cite all of the individuals it is addressed to.
Yes, this may seem redundant and a lot more work and postage. But I promise you this is the most effective way to ensure that action will be taken. Then everybody is aware that everybody else has seen this. Nobody in a lower ranking position will feel like they can dismiss your issues. Failure to address the issue and create a better plan, will make them look ineffective to the higher-ups. This will give them the fear (respect for you and fear of job loss) that is needed to get results.

Just blocking will not accomplish anything. For all they know the reduced viewing could be because you are out of town, that is if you are tied into a system that tracks your viewing practices. This will only keep us silent when we need to be heard.

They need to know why you are tuning them out.
They also need to know that you are contacting their advertisers with the reasons you are tuning them out, and telling their advertisers what it is you will be tuning into instead.

Write each network or show a formal, polite but firm letter by regular mail or FedEX. Attach a copy of that letter along to the letter you are writing to each of their advertisers and sending by regular mail with confirmation. Follow-up with a phone call if you like, but mail works best in this case, not email or only a call. A faxed letter would be acceptable.

We must engage in the same tactics (only in a much better way) that the leftists have been using for years.
