In order to answer that question you must do a little reading. Read Orwells 1984. Not just for the surveillance, but also the politically correct speech, and double speak. Orwell was right, just a few years off on the timing.
You wouldn't have to slam on your brakes to avoid a citation if they hadn't shortened the yellow light period by an average a 32%. Putting up RL cameras and shortening the yellow light period is not for safety, simply revenue generation.
A sworn Peace Officer is given the right to cite for violations, infractions, arrest powers for misdemeanors and felonies. There in lies right.

They do have that right. Iowa is just now getting around to recognizing that right applies to all, not just friends of the county sheriff. Iowa has 99 counties, which lead to 99 different standards of issuance of a permit. Sheriffs like the former Linn county sheriff and the Johnson county sheriff wouldn't issue to anyone unless they were forced too. Now everyone is treated equally. Something I though liberals were all for, oh yeah, as long as it is something they agree with. Remember that only law abiding citizens will have permits, criminals by their very nature don't obey the law won't have permits. If you fear your ex-husband, get a restraining order. When you apply for a RO he immediately loses his 2nd amendment right, and can not possess a weapon. If it is issued, he cannot possess a weapon ever again I believe. But you must prove that he is a threat, not that your just POed at him or trying to get even.
Perhaps if they had said a stop sign at a median crossover it would have made much more sense. Too bad the sign didn't say "STOP driving stupid." Maybe someday KCRG will hire some writers who will make the news informative, intelligible, and current. Prays though for all involved for a quick recovery of any and all injuries.
My point simply was regardless of your political opinion of this war or any other, keep politics out of the post of a non political story. Lets try and keep the post on this happy story positive. I'm simply asking for some discretion here, not a muzzling of anyone's beliefs or opinions. Let all just be happy about this. We have plenty of time and opportunities to argue about other things. Let's just let joy hang around for a change.
Really?? You have to interject a political statement into this happy story? Your view of the war has no place in this story. This story is about a man and his family. Focus focus focus. Thank you to your nephew for his service. I pray that he stays safe and comes home to the family that loves him. I owe him more than beer, but will happily buy him one if I have a chance to.
