Kulongoski will be paid $350 an hour, with the costs split between ICTSI, the unions and the Port of Portland.

"The longer this dispute takes to resolve, the worse it will be for everyone," the judge said.

Im thinking this is not going to be so bad for Kulongoski. 350 bucks an hour to babysit adults. How do I get me one of those jobs? Crap man, pay me 25 bucks an hour and I will plug and unplug those containers probably saving both sides millions. Think they would take that settlement? Not on a bet.
Yep, lets help ruin the economy of portland and the surrounding areas by refusing to act like adults and just let someone (anyone really) plug and unplug these containers. Is this really that difficult to figure out?

Is anyone surprised at the subterfuge perpetrated on us by the oil companies and their lackies in government who act all surprised when it happens? Stop re-electing these rip off artists. No more incumbents. No more party line followers. We are doing this to ourselves.

My father was a motorcycle policeman from 1955 til 1965. He was a detective from 65 til his retirement in 1980. He was also the PPAA president for two years. He was a highly respected person in the department. Not a desk jockey by any means. Wasnt trying denigrate the washco officer, just pointing out that officer involved shootings rarely ever are prosecuted. Dont like the facts? Check it out for yourself.

Why bother? We already know he is not going to be charged with anything. My dad was a cop for 25 years in portland and never had to pull his weapon in the line of duty. This guy, three times? Food for thought.

No Ms. Berger, thats your problem since you created it in the first place. Remember Ms. Berger, you are here to serve the interests of the people who voted you into office, you are not there to serve the state governments interests. This is the problem people. We vote these suckers into office and they either forget who they are supposed to be serving, or once they are in office they just dont give a rip. Shame on this legislator for her p i s s poor attitude towards her constituents.

I have the same problem here for the last couple of years. There is no gravel driveway, no paths, just a fence around my yard and my neighbors yards. Kids from 10 to 16 have decided that they dont want to wait for the school bus to go around the block to where they live to get off the bus. They get off on my street and go through my yard (front, side, and back yard) to hop the fence and get home five minutes sooner. They have torn parts of my wooden fence down (old fence not designed to have kids climbing over) and my neigbors fence has broken boards on it too. I have confronted them on numerous occasions without any weapons ( dont need one for kids). Did some yelling, okay, a lot of yelling. Now they go through my neighbors yard. I have had these kids (both boys and girls) get mouthy, curse me out and pretty much ignored me until I marched them out of my yard a couple of times and made them walk off. I can understand this guys frustration but certainly dont condone pulling a gun. Parents, teach your children like I was that if it isnt your property it isnt all right to go there or take things or destroy others property. I learned that way before I was seven.
