I love Chrysler (my driveway is full of them),and I hope that you are able to make it through your hard time. I don't fault you for anything. It's been the powerful and influential that have put the company where it is today, not the good folks who work hard and take pride in their product.

You said it all with that last sentence! We will either become totally numb by this government's daily antics,or we will just seethe for years, which is what I think will happen. They are too dumb or power-hungry to actually change.

Part of the reason why government is growing so large and pushing all these social programs is due to a weakening of the churches by parishioners in this country who have not been involved, myself included. In other words, the remedies to society that are normally a function of the church have left up to the government. What God intended for individuals to do through personal charity has been hijacked by political entities in a power grab, but only because we personally weren't doing our jobs. Whenever we fail at self-governance,another power is always ready to take over for us. I see no real reduction in the size or scope of the federal government without having growth of self-determination and responsibility that we place on ourselves first. That is what's so important about the tea parties. They represent a return to our priorities.

It's funny you should mention "Stooge",because Sean Penn is slated to play one of "The Three Stooges" in an upcoming movie, and the people in charge right now are his friends. So maybe it was a subliminal choice he made to do the movie?

That's an incredible story. What a patriot! The shame of it is that so many people now can't even understand this type of thinking. Just when a politician might wake up and do the right thing for the people, compassion kicks in. And "justice". Can't forget THAT one..
