HELL YEAH! Very well put. Insurance is NOT A RIGHT. I AM NOT WORKING SO YOU CAN HAVE HEALTH INSURANCE!! That is whats wrong with this country!! Most people feel like they are owed something. FOR WHAT??? Living here? Being lucky enough to have been born here? WTF??
WTF is this covering of pre-existing conditions crap? That is beyond stupid. Analogy - I cant afford insurance on my house. My house burns down because I fell asleep smoking. Now that it has burned down I will go get insurance. Does that make sense? OR - another analogy - I have smoked for the last 40 yrs and havent seen a doctor for the last 20. I dont have medical insurance because I work for someone who doesnt offer it (my choice to do that). UH OH - I am dying of lung cancer. Give me insurance now please.
I think I will cancel my insurance - pay the fine to the feds because its cheaper than insuring myself - and then when I get something I need paid for I will just get the insurance. Doesnt that sound great.
Let me add to my own comment - OK, I understand people have extenuating circumstances. This has been true throughout centuries. Where are the families when you need help? What about communities? This is NOT a federal issue. This is NOT a state issue. This is a PERSONAL issue. We all have problems that we have to overcome. Period. Your extenuating circumstances are NOT my problem unless you are my family, friend, neighbor, co-worker, person I read about in the newspaper, etc. Someone I WANT TO HELP. Then I will help you. That's what this country is lacking. People think they are entitled to something when they're not.
As I sit here - WORKING - I have to say I am NOT looking forward to paying for the health needs of the lazy people of this country who feel that I need to work harder and make more money to pay for them. I just cant wait to pay higher taxes on my HARD EARNED MONEY so those lazy welfare recipients can have a doctor that I pay for. GET A JOB YOU WORTHLESS SCUM!!! I thought I already paid for them to have things. Apparently they just didn't get enough before. They need more. This is just totally ridiculous. I have had enough of it.

I agree totally. Give me a break. This has NOTHING to do with race. The officer has a "serious head injury". He had every right to protect himself. This guy also has a prior assaulting a police officer. He got away with it once.
