Mr Fields was a very talented artist and welder, who passed long before his glory.
It is disgusting that the City would just toss this unique piece.
It's their very lack of maintenance, both on Baseline and Airport Rd, that precipitated the demise of a 'period piece' of Boulder's history. Now we have those 'art'sie flashing yellow lights near the old location.

We are being let down by our city leaders on a fairly consistent basis these days.
We've come a long ways / NOT!

Every bike on the streets of Boulder should be licensed and insured.
This list would be a great way to start.
If Community Cycles would lead the way, I'm sure we could get this passed at the State Legislature for all of Colorado.
