Thanks for replying Patricia. I totally agree with you. Lots of reality checks needed for the bloggers LOL. I've seen some on here say that they wanted to win the house only in order to sell it. I'm hoping to win a house in order to live in it the rest of my life. Well, I hope one of us wins the next home they have a contest for. :) Both the Plymouth, MA (2010 Green Home) and the Bethel, NY (2010 Blog Cabin) look pretty nice. So, you win one; and I'll win the other. lol :)

Steve, if your wife logs on anytime soon; I think you should get use to sleeping on the couch. LOL Just consider the couch your new best friend. :) LOL

Hi,
I read that the roof is a metal roof with copper in it. Is the roof grounded in case of lightning strikes? I've seen on the Weather Channel (during one of their helpful hints spotlights) that unless a metal roof is grounded to the earth (usually through a network of copper wires attached to the metal roofs and then having the lines extended (dug) into the earth surrounding the homes), that sometimes lightning will strike the homes and it will catch on fire. So, I was wondering; is the new 2010 Green Home grounded?
