Why is there no outrage about the $212 MILLION paid out in bonuses at Freddie Mac and Sallie May? That's about $40 Million more than paid out at AIG! Why is there no reporting that the Fed is buying ONE TRILLION DOLLARS worht of our own treasuries this week?
You mean like the Fed buying another 700 Billion in treasuries yesterday and another 300 Billion Thursday! Add that up and it's another 1 TRILLION DOLLARS of our own treasuries that the Federal Bank has purchased!

Once again I and probably many of you are quilty of "Judging the book by its cover". I saw this video yesterday on another site and almost turned it off before she sang, glad I didn't -- I was humbled!
The difference could be as much as finding your family or yourself dead with bullets in your hand! This is a tricky question with way too many elements to address here, kids, training, threat level, etc... In my house, if the gun is used for defence -- it's LOADED and placed where I feel it's to my advantage. If it's not loaded and ready, then you might as well use rocks!
There are too many things that you could do, so break it down by priority. You need food and water. You need something to use as currency (NOT MONEY), some suggest old silver coins, gold and silver, things that people want and need that you may not need or want - like cigarettes, alcohol, etc..to barter with. You might need someway to protect what you have and to protect your family. Do a search for the Preparedness Manual by the Mormons -- it is very good. That's a good idea unless you started by using hybred plants, their seeds may or may not grow, or produce fruit.
If you buy seed most will day heirllom or hybred -- if you are using seed from fruit that you collected last year and get the same good fruit you are probably using heirloom.
From my understanding heirlooms will grow into the same productive plant that it's parent was, hybreds may germinate and may produce fruit, but in all likelyhood will NOT be the same as it's parent.
