Included in the statement was the necessary contact information to our Workers Compensation carrier and the Idaho Industrial Commission that would have enabled them to produce a factual and informative story. Unfortunately, the statement did not make the story that was aired 15 days later on 6/9/2011. We are in the process of inquiring with the station why our statement was not included in the story.

Written Statement Regarding Workers’ Compensation Claim
“Souper Salad’s first concern is the safety and well-being of its guests and employees. In regards to this matter, Souper Salad followed the necessary procedures under Workers’ Compensation law regulated by the state of Idaho. As a result, the Workers’ Compensation claim was denied by the insurance company and an appeals process was provided to the claimant, but not pursued by the claimant.
Since Souper Salad cannot make the final determination regarding this or any other Workers’ Compensation claim, and to ensure factual reporting regarding details of this case, please contact the Worker’s Compensation Insurance Adjuster who handled the claim”.
