For those of us that lived through the tumultuous times in manufacturing during 90s, we know exactly what Mitt Romney represents. MBAs were rolling off the proverbial business school presses in the 80s claiming to know everything about business without needing to know anything about the product. Venture capitalists were nothing but vultures assigned by the courts to help troubled companies get back on their feet. Unfortunately for the manufacturer and mom and pop ownership, their idea of help was accelerating the owners to their financial grave.
These guys were mostly ruthless and driven by greed. Mitt Romney fits that bill. While he may have created hundreds of jobs at Bain Capital, that doesn't compare to the likely tens of thousands that his company laid off.
"If you love me, you got to help me pass this bill,"
Is he kidding me?...You GOT, You GOT to help me... You ask for help by implying that the masses are only intelligent enough to understand ghetto-eze and ebonics? What's next...all y'all crackers gotsta he'p me pass this here bill?
Look, I've been to Chicago and that's not how the educated masses on the street speak there either. We have you figured out POTUS and it's no longer coming across as talking to us, but rather talking down at us. Your flown-in black bus tours and insincere rhetoric only play to the 'hood. And listening to the likes of Herman Cain and working with the educated blacks here, I am hopeful that the 'brother' and 'sister' in the hood are tired of you downplaying his and her intelligence and capabilities as well.
Cure for cancer!?! You just don't get it yet. That's not the way it works. As long as you make that next cancer walk, you're guaranteed to make the one after that, and after that, and after that...Your children and their children will be talking about the "wonderful walks and huge amounts of money" they're generating for "THE CURE".
Worse than the comments so far - I see this as a readily available tracking device that can be used on anyone, nearly anywhere. If it adheres to the skin without external means, these can be placed on anyone without notice and, depending on location on the body, may remain positioned for days if not weeks. Better yet, what if you then take the technology to the next level and, rather than have it store and transmit date, instead program it to receive data and perhaps interrupt body functions, etc....There was a big reason why we were developing this jointly with the Chinese - both governments have agencies wanting easier ways to control the masses.
We have real unemployment of 17+% and an illegal alien population of nearly 10% and yet the good Cardinal can't seem to draw the line on a solution. I'm sorry Cardinal, but I'm trying ot raise three children, all baptized Catholic, and have turned my back on the Church because you elected to turn your back on me and my children first. Between the low end jobs lost to illegals that we all cut our teeth on as teenage and college youth, and the high end post-graduate jobs being stolen at the rate of 1,000,000 H-1B visas each year, our middle class American families don't have a future. I don't believe that the world is better off by having the most generous people in the history of the world forcibly turned to 2nd world poverty. And living in Arizona, don't even get me started on the crime that is associated with this crisis.
Now if the global warming alarmists wanted to jump back onto the pollution issue, they would at least have a lot more luck persuading the educated. At least this is a real issue that we all know exists. The pollution in many of the major cities in Asia probably equates to what we were dealing with in some of our major cities here during the industrial revolution - the smog can burn the ideas and light a fire in the lungs.
Why does any of this surprise anyone? The Marxist Muslim-in-Chief has made it pretty clear that wants to break this Christian nation and control it via his Marxist brethren. You don't create a new world order of government by having a strong America as a hold out. As Reagan was quoted: "This is the last great bastion of freedom in the world..." This country and its expressions of individual freedoms and Christian values have no place in a Marxist ideologue that says all people are to become wards and servants of the State.
Just remember that the Marxist Muslim-in-Chief is free to pass anything that he wants with this complicit Democrat Congress. In 2010, let not one voter slip up as we keep ever mindful of the fact that it takes a 2/3 majority to override these Communist thugs. We can't just put a conservative majority in Congress, it has to be an OVERWHELMING conservative majority. With that, we can back these laws out and then go after those that abused the Constitution - starting with the Marxist Muslim-in-Chief that refused to show a valid birth certificate and school records proving his eligibility to run for office!
I don't have a problem with Government Motors trying to compete straight up, but I have a huge problem with them designing programs around taxpayer money that isn't theirs. Life is good when you have free money and no real reason to have to earn a profit, isn't it Mr. UAW? Well, I won't buy anything beyond 2008 until the business model changes back to one of private enterprise based on free market competition rather than one of public enterprise and forced participation.
I don't see you sending me a check? Tell me again why I should be sending you one, or in this case $1000 to a Toyota owner for you? Oh that's right, I took the pay and benefit cuts to keep the company afloat while you took the high road and voted for the Communist Muslim-in-Chief to "re-distribute my pittance" back to you. Yeah, Judas liked his 30 pieces of silver too until it ate at his gut because he knew he had screwed the only people that ever really cared for him. May God's mercy be upon you. As for me, I can't forgive a brazen thief that's still got his hand in my pocket.
I smell a rat. As one that is a part of the "grounded in science" scientific community, we've all known that the argument for global warming does not hold up to the physical evidence. The cat is out of the bag and the truth has now been set free. Any investigation that concludes anything other than these alarmists are either idiots, scam artists, or both, is a sham in itself. The NWO clan is trying to salvage the greatest ponzi scheme used as a power grab that the world has ever known. The free world CANNOT let them succeed!
