That's a very good point. That most accidents are called that as they could not have been predicted, whereas you're deliberately introducing risk by things like trampolining.

So is that something you've avoided, or stopped your kids from doing?

Hi Ruth, glad to know you still dip in here, and that it isn't just me.

Do you know which of the Tom Gates books that's in? Might get Max to re-read it for the reminder from someone who isn't me.

Thanks for the good luck!

I feel that sister. My boy does so many funny things, and likes it when he's painted in a good light. But, likewise, isn't so funny when he's trying to be.

We've talked about sharing stuff, and even the possibility of putting content out there together. And I think if we actually committed to that we'd learn how each of us feels about sharing some of our lives online.

I am always conflicted on this. I don't share a great deal. And I'm not a personal Facebook user.

Guess I'm getting increasingly conscious of Max's privacy as it becomes more precious to him.

Thanks for sharing. Sharing being the apt point!

Yes, but good call. Think Despicable Me 2 is available on Netflix. Also love Monsters University as a somewhat related tangent.

That's a very good point Michael.

Without commercials, like on some catch up services, I can play precisely how much time I have and if I can squeeze in an episode of something or not.

Plus, as you type, kids aren't exposed to adverts, and thus parents not exposed to kids pining for the plastic crap contained in those adverts.

I like that idea. We don't really have a pattern to our reading. My boy usually reads before bed, and always takes a book or comic with him anywhere he's not going to be 100% occupied.

Agree 100% with that. It's a very a short-sighted, almost draconian and one-style-fits-all doomed to failure philosophy.

It sure is. Thank Q for your kind words.

Thank you, and indeed. They've been, and continue to be, amazing.
