What does anyone think about a mid-Summer Tea PARTY where Harley Riders meet at some central location and ALL RIDE to DC ?? How cool would it be for 1000+ Harley to appear in DC and ride to the Liberty Bell in Philly?// thoughts ideas?

WE I repeat WE.. must make sure the TEA PARTY keeps its focus... and NOT let it get hijacked by any political group.. Frankly I am tired of the bickering between Democrats and Republicans.... it seems that they are like two cats in bag.. both always ready for a fight and for NO REASON other than their party line..... Balderdash... I say Balderdash...

The point regarding the President is this.. the American people (at least I am anyway ) are looking for a leader ...we/I am/are looking for someone with the moral courage to stand up and LEAD... just about anyone can walk around smiling and waving to everybody but my thoughts are Hey MR. President you chased this big car... now you have caught it...... get on with business. What made this country great years ago was the recognition that we alone are responsible for what we do AND our founding fathers EXPECTED the GOVT to remain small and the people would manage their day to day life... I for one WANT MY COUNTRY BACK.!!!!!! And if the President does not have the intellectual honesty to address the truth of the current issues and if he and the Congress lack the ethical and moral courage to do what is right because it is the right thing to do....then it is time for US as the population to fire them all.. all need to re-read the Declaration of Independence --- that BEGINS WITH: When, in the course of human events, it becomes necessary for one people to dissolve the political bonds which have connected them with another, and to assume among the powers of the earth, the separate and equal station to which the laws of nature and of nature's God entitle them, a decent respect to the opinions of mankind requires that they should declare the causes which impel them to the separation.

I agree. Two points... Fist a grass roots effort to remove EVERY sitting congressman would send a VERY clear message that we as a people are quite FED UP with their nonsense and childish partisanship. Second: What is needed IS a Constitutional amendment but I suggest the amendment return the control of congressional salary and their respective budget to the individual states and TAKE if from the Congress. Third that The Speaker of the house must come from the minority side of the house OR it is determined by popular vote of the people anytime there is a general congressional election.. When the congress has to live on wages and allowances more closely aligned with their constituents then they might have a better appreciation for the "common man".
