You racists. How dare you accuse a prominent black man of any crime? The only reason he was accused of anything is because he's black and he dared to be successful in the white man's world! We all know that! If he were white no one would say a word. Hell, he'll get reelected with an even BIGGER majority of the vote because this is all nothing but a bunch of racists who are out to lynch a black man.

Yes, I am being a smart ass. But I dare say this is what most, if not all, of Rangel's constituents are saying about this and his rent controlled apartments. Yes, plural. APARTMENTS. He'll be a hero to black people like Marion Barry, he'll be reelected easily and nothing will become of this at all because he's a black man who will ultimately use the race card in his successful reelection bid.

Socialism has failed everywhere it's been tried, but for some reason the people of Venezuela are hell bent on destroying their country.

My guess is that five years from now Venezuela will be blaming America for it's predicament while "progressives" here will be demanding that we bail them out because we caused their suffering in the first place.
