I don't think it would matter. Leftist Ideology and Dogma trumps anything and everything else.

Two thoughts: (1) the show has adopted such a blatant leftist agenda that I stopped watching years ago, so in that respect I'm actually happy it's gone (2) when has a big show *ever* had a finale that lived up to the hype? M*A*S*H, Seinfeld, LOST, and many others seem to have trouble putting a "big bow" on it at the end...
