Crowdsourcing map is not letting me submit a report :( Consistent error messages.

I don't think this map is working. It's not showing any closures, just a map of Boulder.

Yes, a history of violence would be relevant to the crime in question. Taking a selfie with an obscene hand gesture is not, neither is smoking pot (jeez, half of Boulder would deserve to be shot if that were a factor).

Mixing irrelevant points in with relevant points is a cheap rhetorical tactic.

I still don't get it. Where did I talk about Nancy Grace (can't stand the woman) or anything she reports? You're trying to make everyone fit neatly into a pro-Trayvon or a pro-Zimmerman camp. I am actually not at all sure what to think about this case, all I'm asking is that we stick to relevant details for both of them.

"independent research"? Please, what "independent research" are any of us truly able to do in this situation? We're all just spouting off what various media outlets are feeding us.

My point was that because of this we shouldn't jump to conclusions about either one of them and we should stick to relevant details.

It's probably true that TM had Zimmerman outclassed physically but there were reports of him weighing over 200lbs, which are clearly false. I also object to the character assassination of a dead 17-year-old - take the iphone photos of most 17-year-old boys and you'll find some unsavory material on there. I don't think the middle finger or the pot plant are at all relevant to whether he deserved to be shot or not on that night.

I would also object to any character assassinations of Zimmerman and by all accounts he does not sound like a malicious man.

It's just wrong all round to smear someone's reputation with information that is irrelevant to a crime.

the photo you're referring to was taken 7 months before he was killed. Also, he was 5' 11", 158lbs - way lighter than Zimmerman.

Nope, looks like you can't. Big deal. It's a 'first snow contest' for a local hardware store, not the national election.

Legally, yes. But the whole point is that this is not a legal issue but rather one of university policy and ethics. It's a good thing that the university wants to make a distinction between an 18-year-old who's just moved out of mom and dad's house, and someone in their mid twenties or even older.

Why is everyone insisting on getting his name? Nothing has been proven yet, and even then the guy didn't break any federal or state laws. Boulder is a small town - you have to be careful who you want to name and shame. There may be spouses and children to protect.
