Get real, people! Digitizing medical records is 30 years overdue and all of those requirements are there to prevent careless doctors from killing us by not bothering to update or read paper records. As for the jobs lost, most of them are like those who were employed to make buggy whips after people began driving cars. I don't blame the people who spent their days filling out and filing paper records but time marches on. The Creative Destruction of capitalism that we are all supposed to adore is the reason for this great advance as you all know.

By the way Rick, your local DMV is going away soon and for the same reason. Aside from making us wait for hours on end, what do DMV clerks do that computers can't do? That's right. Nada.
