Re: Border fence. Most of the Texas border is a river. How do you fence that? Build the double fence on our side? Cut off the ranchers access to their water rights for grazing on the river? Swallow their land without compensation? Like Kelo much?

Enforce the existing laws? With what police force? There are not enough officers or jails.

I am not pro-amnesty nor open borders I just want reasonable solutions.

1. Restart the old bracero program but made modern.
2. Make it reasonable for the policing of the border to be done in some proper manner.
3. Stop catch and release. Make it catch and return after 6 months of chain gang building the right kinds of fence and border roads.
4. Penalize those hiring illegals in the right ways. Make it hurt.

Sumdood - I think you make a mistaken assumption - that retirement money was self-funded. Entirely. Money in IRAs & 401ks. Lost all of it. Now I invest in dirt and precious metals. Metals that come in fractional sizes - .223, .40, .45, .308, etc. Anything else is a fools game. You get better odds in Lost Wages.

I have known for decades I will not see any SSI. I mean really. Perry saying it was a Ponzi scheme is not a new concept to some of us.
