It's a sad sad............sad day when supposely educated Americans think a movie is going to play a pivotal roll in swaying a presidentual election! The fact is if you run one of those RHINO republicans who are not really conservative you will lose against Obama again. I would think folk who are supposely REAL conservatives would spend more time worrying and getting a REAL conservative past the Republican primary than worrying about a release date of a hollywood movie! Hmmmmmmm who was it that just won the Iowa republican debates......the REAL conservative won but how many here will back a REAL Reagan conservative instead of these RHINO non-conservatives? That begs to be answered!
"This propaganda has going on for decades" you say? You mean ALL those prowar war, pro-America movies John Wayne (The Duke) stared in? Or is it the ones you just disagree with. In fact hollywood has put out numerous pro-America war movies stretching from present day to dating back decades ago. Sure hollywood has produced some war movies you may disagree with but in all the majority of them have been pro-war, pro-America, going back decades. I get the idea you can only handle positive propaganda of your political and or war views. I look at it as a movie which I rarely attend but I sure never have been weak minded enough to allow a movie to manipulate me in to voting one way or another. Does positive propaganda war movies motivate you in to voting one way or another? Just a question.
When did you get the idea that any hollywood movie was about reality. at best any movie made today or in the past was based on court documents or interviews of witnesses of a event or both. Or someones diary of their perspective of a historical event. Do we want to go the way of the Nazi's on deciding what movies are made about. what will it be next. which books can be read. By the way do you think if movies can motivate Americans to vote a certain way then don't that make us idiots and morons who are easily manipulated, therefore we are not grown enough to decide on our own what is right or wrong or fact or fiction? Truth or lies? I would think the Founding fathers are shaking their heads at us in shame!
This nation has some serious stupity issues if folk here think hollywood is the cause of America's ills. Personally, I kicked my TV to the curb 20+ years ago and I rarely go to a theater movie. Why don't you quit whinning about the product and just quit watching it, instead you watch it and then complain about it? Doesn't make much logical sense to me. Just for the ignorant folk here! If you did not know it but Hollywood has had a LONG running association with the US military and that goes back decades. Do you folk ONLY want positive propaganda from movies or do you want to let the market do it's work to decide either which way it goes! I doubt if some of you folk would even want war documents to EVER be declassified so the American public can make up it's own mind on the morallity of the US govts past military engagements. I would like to see a movie about Pat Tillman's story myself. When he found out 1st hand what was actually happening in afganistan which was contrary to what he was told and started writing home about it then conviently got killed by his own men at close range!
