But y'all don't understand; the NBA is the thug league!

I think it's bad for Tech that it came to this, but as I said before, he didn't have to put the kid in a shed. That kills whatever legitimate beef he may have with the AD at Tech. I think it is obvious that they had it out for him all along, but he gave them the rope to hang him with.

Even if all that stuff is true, it's wrong as hell to put a guy with a concussion in a freaking tool shed. I just can't get past that part.

Cornelius,

My beef with the whole Chauncey Billups thing is that the Nuggets improved by a whopping four games in the regular season, and then got a playoff draw that was much better than the one they got the year before by virtue of tiebreakers. If Portland wins one more game, then the Nuggets would have gotten a much tougher draw through the playoffs (Houston in round one, Lakers in round two) then the one they got (injury depleted Hornets in round one). The supposed awesome improvement wasn't all it was cracked up to be.

I agree, but I didn't really see Fouts play so I can't really judge him fairly. I started watching NFL around 1981-82 and we didn't get Chargers games on the East coast like that.

I'm working on it. Some of the info I've stumbled across has made me change my opinion on some people.

I'm not absolving the Boise St. player, or the crazy fans in Boise, but Blount has no one to blame but himself here. You have to keep your head. Dude is a senior, and badly needed to show and prove to the scouts what he can do on the field. Now he doesn't have that chance, and may have cost himself an NFL career and millions of dollars. Mel Kiper had him on the board at running back, but not at the top. Dude clearly needed to make some noise in order to move up the board and increase his chances of getting drafted. If you're in that position, you have to keep your head and not get suckered into the BS.

I agree with both of you. It is unfair that international players can still come over at 18, but at the same time a year playing in college is not a waste. Kevin Durant was helped by playing at UT, and Derrick Rose benefitted from his year at Memphis. It helps to get some time in as the lead dog in big games instead of going from high school to playing on a bad NBA team.
