I think the idea of making Cap a USO performer is idiotic. I can see the government deciding that he's too valuable to risk in the fighting but then deciding the best use for someone with Cap's abilities is to turn him into a sideshow act? Not so much. Just make the costume a psychological warfare ploy. A constant reminder to Hitler's master race that there is an ubermann and he's an American.

And for the record, Cap doesn't wear spandex. He wears scale armor. It not only looks good but it protects him as well. If it were me, I'd probably go so far as to have it be a body armor prototype developed by a young Howard Stark and Obadiah Stane that proved to be unfeasible for mass production. Of course if it were me I'd have Cap go on a mission with Sgt. Fury and his Howling Commandos as well.

That horrible white Christian family usurped the rightful role of government by taking that poor black child off the streets and into their family. Clearly he should have been left to the gentle mercies of the government welfare system where he would have been spared the terrible drive to excel at what he does. Instead he's grown up to be a symbol of the dreadful white patriarchal conservative mindset. He really ought to be living in a homeless shelter, getting by on what scraps the government deigns to give him instead of being this famous football player. It would be only fair. Ask any liberal.

It is the ultimate expression of the cult of celebrity, people being famous for being famous and nothing else. Were I to never again hear of the Kardassians, the Hiltons, Heidi & Spencer, etc. it would not bother me one iota.

They're making a Magnum P.I. movie but he won't be in it. He had this to say on the subject, "I tell you what worries me -- because I love 'Magnum' and we have loyal fans -- is they take these TV show titles, and they buy them and they spend $100 million on special effects, and then they make fun of them and trivialize it. Then they try and get the actor who used to be in it to do some ridiculous cameo to prove to the audience that it's OK. And I will not do that."

I always enjoy his work. "High Road to China" has long been in my top 10 and I'm a big fan of Selleck's westerns as well.

Don't know. If they were trying to plant a bug I don't know why O'Keefe would be taping the attempt. If they were trying to plant a bug I don't know why someone would be outside using a listening device for a bug that hadn't been planted yet. If they were trying to plant a bug I don't know why the FBI wouldn't have charged them with wiretapping. Especially if they'd already done this in a few other Congressional offices.

Of course if O'Keefe was trying to pull off another sting, taping the attempt would make more sense. If O'Keefe, as part of the sting, was wearing a wire then it would make sense that he'd have a friend outside listening in. And if he wasn't planting a bug then it would make sense that the FBI would only charge him with interfering with the phone system instead of wiretapping.

But all that's speculation. We still don't have any real information about what he was up to.

I don't know that O'Keefe was trying to tap her phones. He hasn't been charged with wiretapping. He's been charged with interefering with the office's phone system which is not the same thing. There simply isn't enough information about what he was doing to form an opinion yet.

One of my favorite actors. If he has a fault, as an actor, it would be that he apparently never says no to anything and consequently has been in some really, really bad movies. I always enjoy his performances, even if the movie stinks. Blind Fury is one of my favorite guilty pleasures.

Wait, the A-Team movie is by the same guy who made "Smokin' Aces?" Well, that will save me the price of a movie ticket.

Stupid people generally don't rise from a working class background to become governor of their state. Especially not by taking on corruption within their own party. Anyone who thinks they do is apparently stupid enough to confuse Sarah Palin with Chance the Gardener.
