I absolutely agree. Too often defiance comes with anger, or just defiance for its own sake. But the sort of thing you\'re describing is how we get amazing things accomplished.

You're so roght--it's the emotional disabilities that get us. Let me know when you do that post--I like the contrasting images of vessel and dumpster.

You\'re right--amazing stuff happens when I stop trying to do it all myself. When I let others, and God, help, it\'s all a lot easier.

That's really sad--I just hope the barriers don't seperate him from God. He--and you--are missing some of the fellowship that's essential to Christian life. Such a dimemma, for you and the church. I pray that you'll discover a better solution.

Amazing--that\'s just what the guys said about toting me up the steps! I get it, but I don\'t like it. It\'s so much easier to be the helper.

I like the thought that self-control is a partnership between God's Spirit and me.

When I speak to groups I often say that my disability is an advantage in the sense that I can't ignore it. Just like my injury, I need God's help to face and deal with those spiritual disabilities that paralyze my heart.

However--I wonder if God would help me with that cheeseburger? :-)

I only know of one unlimited person who ever lived, and He accepted the role of humble servant for my sake. The rest of us--disabled or not--are defective!

It really is amazing what we (and God) can do when we look for possibilities instead of im-possibilities. We are not accidents!
