I also enjoy watching him race.......Just wish he paid me for my hard work instead of walking out the back door with so much as a thought to the time and effort put into creating the placard for his boat.

Maybe the Sk test is harder than the American test.... From what I have seen their are lots of people right here with valid licenses that don't have a clue how to drive

I disagree with you.

I am no fan of this war. I have lost several very close friends to it. But, it all started with a bombing of innocent victims on our soil.

Mr. Shahzad could have been frustrated with what he saw in his native land....I'll give you that. But, his actions do not solve a single thing, in fact they make it worse. History is quite telling, violence always begets violence. Mr. Shahzad had a choice! He could have come back to the land of the free and used his voice and pen to change the culture for the better. Instead, he chose to bomb and instill fear throughout the land. Basically he took the cowards way out! Middle America does not want the war, but it also won't live with the threat of terrorism in our land.

Say what you want about predator drones, but little by little and day by day the very few people who live as cowards, want to rule by fear and intimidation, and will even go so far as to make their women and children carry suicide bombs into places throughout the world are being singled out.

When they are gone another will come along... I keep thinking about the ones that flew the planes during 9/11 and took my niece. Devout to their religion, but spent one heck of a lot of time at local strip clubs planning their attack.

I hate how Gregoire lied her way into office.... I hate what she has done to the state and area that I love...But I could not agree more with you, and how well you said it! I still firmly believe that beyond the mandates of society there are plenty of things that we pay for which are not necessities. I for one would like to see a snapshot of the current 2010-2011 budget. Might be interesting, and thanks for being real!

As a small construction contractor, the company I work for has done jobs on Bangor, McChord, Ft. Lewis, Whidbey Island Naval Base, Bremerton Naval Hospital, and Puget Sound Naval Shipyard. In each of these jobs it was required that all parts used must be "purchased and manufactured" in the United States. The reasoning is that in the time of war, parts must be readily available for replacement for the soldiers comfort and health.

Boeing does outsource many of it's parts, but even the outsourced parts are still manufactured by official Boeing partners. I fail to see the logic behind asking foreign countries/manufacturers to bid upon a major piece of our military infrastructure.

When is the Government going to wise up and stick with the criteria as initially intended?

What a beautiful soul she is! True heroes don't act out of selfishness but out of compassion. This lady is the embodiment of compassion for others and should be considered as a moral guidepost for the rest of us.

Way to go Sonya, many prayers to you!

In my humble opinion, the problem really isn't with the Democrats or the Republicans....The real problems seems to be the fact that the city of Seattle has all the voting power in this state. Other cities are stuck with whatever Seattle votes into office. Rossi carried the majority of this state and warned us all about the huge deficit that was looming. Perhaps it is time to re-draw our voting districts so that all of this state gets counted and not just one group of people

Years back I actually worked on Mary's towing fleet of trucks. They stiffed us for the bill. Later when it got heavy, they towed my vehicle from a legally parked spot assigned to me in an apartment complex. As we fought the bill grew and I had to pay it in order to get my vehicle back to keep my job. Eventually I got some of my money back.

Lessoned I learned out of all this, if it has the words "Tow Truck" on the side and you do business with it, you might as well make a deal with the devil.

My Favorite...Heading up Highway 18 at 5:00am two months ago. Raining hard and pitch dark when some overly important idiot in a black BMW decides to latch his front bumper to the back of my big truck. Now I am doing 65 in 55, but no, this was not good enough for Captain tighty-whiteys. We get to the 18/I-90 interchange and to my misery he has to follow me towards Bellevue. I-90 is 70Mph then so as we round the corner I am mashing the pedal to get up to speed to make my merge. Well, you guessed it, halfway down the on ramp I am at 68 and accelerating and Captain WTs is hitting 90. In his infinite wisdom he decides to save himself 4 seconds and teach me a lesson at the same time. Unfortunately for him the majority of the gore strip has a huge water runoff ditch down it. It was amazing to see a $40k car go airborn, roll twice and nearly get flattened by a big ol Semi heading for Seattle. Lucky for him he survived. Maybe next time he will skip the whitey tightys and put on his big boy underwear and drive like a man.
